The Curse of the Golden Squirrel

Two Missing Professors. One Missing Journal. And an ancient cursed Woodland.

Professor Ben Richards, an award winning Anthropologist, along with Professor Sarah Burns (world renowned Archaeologist), have gone missing in a cursed woodland in the Highlands.

Can you help us to solve the clues, find the missing journal and subsequently find the hidden Golden Squirrel. Once returned to it's burial place the curse will lift from the woods.  No Screens. No Apps. Just good old fashioned outdoor fun! Solve the logic puzzles, missing pieces, code breaking and more. Team work and communication are key, together let's solve the mystery!

Itinerary

Thank you so much for agreeing to help me find my cousin, Sarah. We haven't heard from her in over 5 months and we have finally managed to track down her last known location. Both she and her husband Ben, (Professor Ben Richards), were working on recent discoveries regarding an ancient lost woodland tribe, their research is invaluable. I will meet you at the cabin at the entrance to the woods and we can take it from there. Oh... we won't have long, due to the restless nature of the local communities we only get an hour before our rescue helicopter arrives back for us. Once again, thank you, and try not to let the silly superstitions about the woods spook you! 

Things To Bring

Wrap up warm in the winter, lighter layers in the summer. Waterproof jacket, sturdy footwear and midgie repellant is always a must! We are in woodland and we advise you to dress appropriately for the terrain. Please bring water and/or snacks with you. If you wear glasses for reading - those are handy here too! There is no phone signal in the woods so we will provide clipboards and paper for note taking.

This activity can be added to other activities - like Axe Throwing or Archery.  Please contact us to discuss your bespoke session.

Please note we recommend this Outdoor Mystery Escape Room, for people 16 and over. 

  • To promote family fun we have included a minimum age requirement of 13yrs. 
  • If you have a tween that you would like included with your group, please let us know. 
  • We can only take bookings for under 16's that include at least one adult in the group. 
  • If your group size is larger than 6 - please get in touch, we may be able to accomodate you. 
  • This is a woodland, complete with woodsy things - like insects, trees, leaves, wildlife, brambles etc. Please wear appropriate clothing and repellant. 

Cancellation Policy

It is always sad when you have to cancel, and we totally understand that these things happen. We would prefer to try and find you a new date rather than fully cancel, however, that too can sometimes be tricky if you are limited to time. 
 
If you need to cancel, or reduce the number of booked participants in your group, up to 48 hours before the start of your booked session, we will refund any money paid to us for that participant/group. 
 
If you need to cancel, or reduce the number of booked participants in your group, within 48 hours of the start time of your booked session, we will refund 50% of any money paid to us for that participant/group. 
 
If you do not turn up for your booked session, and we have not had any contact from you, we will not refund any money paid to us.
